What's a good native Mac app for making timelines on Macs? I'm looking for an easy-to-use program that I can use to create timelines easily without delving into graphics programs like Illustrator. (Which I can use, but would be quite time consuming.). Another great free timeline creation tool for creating stories for your eLearning courses is Capzles, with which you can generate visually rich timelines that include photos, videos, music, and documents. Use a SmartArt graphic timeline to show a sequence of events, such as project milestones or events, in Office 2016 for Mac. How to draw Timeline
Firstly, drag a timeline bar from the template. There are three basic timeline bar symbols in it. You can choose any one to use as the basic linear timeline axes. Then drag the mission above the axes.
Move the yellow control point to change the position of milestones and interval markers. Double click the text and type the information you want.
You can switch to the Insert menu to add hyperlinks and pictures for the markers. It's easy to change the background. Only drag a background icon from the built-in background template.

Helpful, some basic design flaws
My students like using this app in class. It's fairly simple to upload photos to the iPad, which then can then be shared in several different ways. From a teacher's perspective, I have two simple suggestions:
1. Change the formatting so that timeline entires cannot cover the title of author of the timeline. Kids upload their timelines with their names hidden by their entries, which makes assessment difficult!
2. What's the point of the Full Description box if it doesn't show up on the main timeline? Either allow for more characters in the short description box, or change the formatting so the Full Description shows up on the main Timeline page.
OK - but NOISY!
I downloaded this one after the update that fixed what users were complaining about - crashing on Save - so I didn’t experience that. This is a basic timeline app. It makes times just fine, albeit with zero bells or whistles. I do appreciate that it will try to create an image for every item you place on the timeline, though.
BUT - every time you tap on ANYTHING there a a very loud, VERY unnecessary CLICK! Worse - there appears to be no way to turn the blasted thing OFF!! I can’t imagine what a classroom full of kids using this app would sound like, unless they were to mute their devices.
Seriously, IRA, TURN THAT OFF!!

Glitchy but, helpful
I've used this app for three years and hope to see some changes, this is a great app for children and adults alike but here are some of the changes I want to see.
- Not having to hit SAVE every time I stop using the app, if i forget to hit that save button I'll lose the project altogether.
